The Sunday Showcase from Make it Pretty Monday

Hello World!  How was your weekend?  Ours was pretty tame; which is a good thing.  Starting this coming weekend till the end of February we have stuff going on every day and night of the weekend.  Did you watch the Super Bowl?  I was only marginally interested in the game, but apparently not interested enough to stay home and watch it.  I took Little Dedicated to the salon where we both got a mani and pedi.  Anyhoo, I'm ready to start the week.  What about you?

Hyacinths for the Soul reminded us of the importance of our leisure time and to fill that time with activities that fuel the soul and spirit.  Lovely post.

China Hutch Cabinet Repurpose

Hello World!  Since moving into our Red Brick Colonial which was 300 sq. ft. smaller than our previous house; I've had quite the challenge on my hands for creating storage.  Before we put the previous house on the market, I had already done a massive purge to get the house staged for showings.  So, excessive clutter was not the issue.  Storage space has been my number one dilemma in our sweet little house.  Downstairs the storage is just fine.  The kitchen storage is perfection.  And while the laundry room is a bit tiny, the storage is quite nice.  I promise to show you the laundry room one day.  Even the half bath has great storage.

Climb the stairs and the storage issue begins.  Tiny closets coupled with no linen closet in the master bathroom have made me feel like I was at a loss regarding storage for me and Mr. Dedicated.  In the master bath there is absolutely no storage for towels and toiletries.  They were taking up much needed space in my closet.  And mama wants to buy new clothes!  So, I took my space back.

Little Miss China Hutch that used to reside in the dining room got emptied and came upstairs.

This is where she sat in the dining room.  Trust me when I tell you I have plans for this little space.  Now I just need a surplus of time to work my vision.

Below is the china hutch in our previous house.
